E-Books Invade!

| Affiliate Marketing | Wednesday 25 April 2007 5:36 pm

E-books are everywhere. That’s bad, but what’s worse is the authors that share the same air as all of us non-sleaze bags. The thing is, e-Books didn’t necessarily start off bad, and here and there you will find truly useful books. The falloff in quality is easy to explain. People who have had success on the Internet or wherever suddenly feel that they have become writers and need to share their knowledge and information with everyone. Normal people who think they can write have over-saturated the e-Book market with generic crap. They copy information from a plethora of sources, quote some of it, and throw it into a stupid e-Book. The problem is that these people aren’t writers and they aren’t experts, but rather salesmen, the used car salesmen type.

A while back I wrote about how I feel about e-Books and the ripoffs they generally are. The good ones should be given their props, because some there have been some truly excellent e-Books that have taught people new, proven or revolutionary ideas. Ken Envoy wrote a hugely popular e-Book “Make your Site Sell” and has an entire product line to back it up. Wayne and Kim Porter wrote a book “Affiliate Marketing 101″ that actually gives you a grasp of what it takes to get into and be successful in affiliate marketing. A newer book by Geno Prussakov “A Practical Guide to Affiliate Marketing” offers affiliate mangers with a great resource from a proven marketer. 98% of marketing e-Books created in the last 2 years are crap and the number of crappy e-Books will go up because they sell so damn well. Boycott amateur e-Books one and all

    Hi bfreedom,

Couldn’t agreed with you more. Most of the e-books and reports (98%) :) are useless junks. Just waste of good money and time. The trouble is you really don’t know until you paid for.
