Virus Attack on Adwords/Adsense

Beware Adwords and Adsense users, if you use sponsored ads and have not installed a patch released by Google nearly a year ago, you are at risk of being hacked. Virus writers have found a loophole in the way adwords/adsense are displayed and have taken advantage of it. Generally when you hover over a link or a listing it will display where you are about to be taken, however, Adwords/Adsense does not enable this feature leaving the final link destination a surprise for would be clickers. Hackers have bid on popular keyterms cars.com, bbb.com, among others and instead of taking them to one of these sites, the virus installs ad and spyware on the user’s computer. These hackers are specifically looking for your personal and financial information. So if you run Internet Explorer and haven’t downloaded and installed the patch that Google offers you might want to hop on that.
