A new service comparable to Google Checkout and Paypal Payment Services is being released by Amazon.  Amazon Flexible Payments Service is starting out considerably behind the likes of Paypal and Google Checkout, but expects to compete head on with the giant payment services a few years down the road.  The new service is designed to be easy to implement for developers.

“Amazon FPS offers developers flexibility in how they can structure payment instructions, including standing instructions that can remain in place for multiple transactions.”

Developers are able to set up an unlimited amount of payment options and their services are already comparable to Paypal’s.  The new service allows merchants a better way to process micro and alternative payements.
