Sharper Image Ionic Breeze Air Purifier

Posted by Rambles | Affiliate Marketing,Sharper Image | Sunday 30 September 2007 11:56 am

The Sharper Image Ionic Breeze Air Purifier has very mixed reviews. On one hand you have Consumer Reports giving it a horrible grade and putting it on its Do not Buy List.

I happen to like them though. I have spent significant time around Sharper Image Ionic Breezes, and I have not been sick once. My allergies have decreased in intensity, and I love the fact that it actually cleans the air instead of pushing around dirty air. It traps dirty air on the blades and if you have the Germocidal protection, it kills all the bacteria, fungus, mold, etc.

They work great if you have pets (I have 2) keeping the air clean and smelling fresh. The coolest feature of Sharper Image Ionic Breeze air Purifiers … you never have to replace filters. I love that. Sharper Image Ionic Breezes do not use up a lot of electricity, and they do more than any other air purifier I have ever witnessed. Not only do I recommend Ionic Breezes from Sharper Image, but I encourage you to pick one up, try it. You will be satisfied, and you will enjoy everything that the Ionic Breeze from Sharper Image has to offer.

Internet Retailer’s Affiliate Marketing Article: Can you Have too Many Affiliates?

Posted by Rambles | Affiliate Manager,Affiliate Marketing,Affiliate Networks,Affiliate Programs | Saturday 29 September 2007 10:21 am

In this month’s issue of Internet Retailer, they dive into a common Affiliate Marketing issue. Can an Affiliate Program have too many affiliates?

While presenting both sides of this issue, they show how some affiliate programs and networks say it isn’t worth working with Affiliates who have been inactive for over 6 months. It is wise to cut these affiliates from your program and bring your program down to a size your company can manage.

They also took a look at the Affiliate managers and companies who believe that it is foolish to cut Affiliates from your program just because they have been inactive. The sentiment being, you never know when one of your affiliates, active or inactive, may become the next Super Affiliate.

I agree with the second group of people in saying that Affiliates shouldn’t be cut from a program because of inactivity. Rather, segment your affiliates into different groups, and manage each group accordingly. Three possible groups could be “Super Affiliates”, “Active Affiliates”, and “Inactive Affiliates”. Try and appeal to all three groups and continue to grow your program. In my opinion, there is no such thing as an unmanageable program. Even if you are a small company, there is no reason that your Affiliate manager can’t spend the time to separate your Affiliates into groups and reach out and market and support them.

My beloved Kings are playing (and leading 1-0) against the Ducks of Anaslime (sorry, I meant Anaheim) in a two game series in London, England to start off the NHL regular season. I just wanted to say Go Kings Go, destroy those filthy birds.

MicroSoft’s Date with FaceBook: Give us $15 Billion or no First Kiss!

Posted by Rambles | Affiliate Marketing | Friday 28 September 2007 1:01 pm

FaceBook CEO Zuckerberg was in Seattle earlier in the week meeting with MicroSoft.  The big news out of their first date …. no, not a first kiss.  FaceBook is waiting for someone to offer them $15 billion for their company.

The next question is, who is going to bed with FaceBook?  Google, Yahoo, AOL, and MicroSoft are all looking to mate with FaceBook.  Who is gonna give up that $15 billion first?

Change in my URL Structure

Posted by Rambles | Affiliate Marketing | Friday 28 September 2007 7:38 am

I have made a few simple changes to my blog over the last couple of days and one pretty serious one. The simple changes include adding some more RSS features to my site, including being able to have updates sent via RSS to your email.  The major change occurred last night when I changed the URL structure of my entire site.  Using a plugin and the WordPress function to change my URL’s to be keyword rich and search engine friendly.  It is much better than the page numbers, which is what it used to be.  It should also make my site easier to navigate.
