Black Friday Sales 2012

Internet Retailer reports that by 2010 every IP address on the Internet could be used up.  There are over 2.8 billion active IP addresses in service currently, and apparently we are reaching the threshold.

Not to worry, there is a backup plan (its not like the Internet was just going to block out everyone who hadn’t gotten in before room ran out).  This event has been predicted since the 90′s, and a new protocol is being developed.  It isn’t complete yet, but now that this study is complete, expect production to pick up some pace.
