AeroGarden...Try It Free!!

I got an AeroGarden by AeroGrow for Christmas. In our first growth batch in our AeroGrow by AeroGarden, we are growing the basic herb seed kit included with out AeroGrow. The herb kit includes Italian basil, purple basil, dill, mint, cilantro, parsley and chives. It has been about 2 weeks and we are seeing phenomenal growth … every single seedling has sprouted. The purple and Italian basil are growing large leaves, the chives are almost 6 inches tall, the mint is growing nicely, the cilantro and parsley are splitting and the dill is starting to get big.

For those of you that aren’t familiar with the AeroGarden by AeroGrow, it is a very cool indoor herb, flower, vegetable or fruit garden. You can grow heads of lettuce, strawberries, herbs, chili peppers, tomatoes, and even flowers.

The AeroGrow system is very easy to set up and requires very little work and no experience. You fill up the resevior with water, pop in 2 nutrient tabs, put the seed kits in their respective spots, and turn on the unit. The lights go and stay on for 16 hours a day, leaving 8 hours of darkness for sleeping. The lights are automatic and set the first time you turn the unit on. The lights are energy friendly and only use as much energy as a desklamp. As your plants grow higher, the lights are adjusted via a movable arm. Every 2 weeks a light will glow when it is time to add more water and another light will glow when it is time to add 2 more nutrient tabs. You can start harvesting your herbs after just 4 weeks and you can keep harvesting for up to 3 months. That is 2 full months of harvestable herbs.

Once you have reached the end of the growth cycle, you clean out your AeroGarden by AeroGrow and start again with a new AeroGrow seed pack. Seed Packs are available on AeroGarden’s website. Like I said earlier, there is a large selection of seed packets to pick from, including the salsa grow kit, gourmet herb kit, flower seed kit, lettuce seed kit and the chili pepper seed kit. Replacement bulbs are also available on AeroGarden’s website.

Overall I am incredibly happy with the ease of the AeroGarden by AeroGrow and I can’t wait to harvest my first herbs in just a couple of weeks. I will update my growing experience with AeroGarden pictures of my mature herbs. Plus, you can try the AeroGarden by AeroGrow as a Free Trial for 36 days and you can return it if you don’t like it, but I am sure you will.
